Ooh I love this game. I have a couple.
1.) "Highwayman" by Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash.
"(Willie Nelson)
I was a highwayman. Along the coach roads I did ride
With sword and pistol by my side
Many a young maid lost her baubles to my trade
Many a soldier shed his lifeblood on my blade
The bastards hung me in the spring of twenty-five
But I am still alive.
(Kris Kristofferson)
I was a sailor. I was born upon the tide
And with the sea I did abide.
I sailed a schooner round the Horn to Mexico
I went aloft and furled the mainsail in a blow
And when the yards broke off they said that I got killed
But I am living still.
(Johnny Cash)
I fly a starship across the Universe divide
And when I reach the other side
I'll find a place to rest my spirit if I can
Perhaps I may become a highwayman again
Or I may simply be a single drop of rain
But I will remain...and I'll be back again
And again and again and again and again and again"
In addition to thinking this song is super cool by itself, it reminds me of several different books and movies, Pirates being one of them. (The others being The Three Musketeers-particularly the 1st verse, and Star Wars-last verse) I don't really know why, but it just does. The first verse...just switch the word "highwayman" with "pirate", and the phrse "Along the coach roads I did ride" to "Across the oceans deep and wide". (Though, a highwayman is like a pirate of the land. They're both criminal occupations.) It also kind of follows the whole immortality/ressurection/living on as a legend theme, like when you die in PotC, you don't really...die.
2.) "Heart of the Ocean" by Gaelic Storm
"Candlelight dies at the window
And the night wind blows soft from the sea
Though I lie in your arms, I'm a thousand miles away
On the waves sailing fast, sailing free
Now I'm bound for the heart of the ocean
I'm riding the sea in my soul
In the dark and the deep
She will rock me to sleep
Down below... where the black waters roll
When the sea birds cry out in the morning
And the sun lays its kiss on the sand
I'll be drawn to the shore
Like so many times before
As I long to be far from the land.
Now I'm bound for the heart of the ocean
I'm riding the sea in my soul
In the dark and the deep
She will rock me to sleep
Down below... where the black waters roll
I can still hear your voice on the trade winds
I can still taste your tears on the foam
But the lure of the tide that I'm feeling inside
Will not rest till my heart finds its home
Now my heart is the heart of the ocean
There are storms from the sea in my soul
I'm restless and deep
And before I can sleep
I must go... where the black waters roll
where the black waters roll"
Really, does my reasoning on this one need explaining? Dare tell me that you can't relate that to PotC. I think it especially relates to Will and his current predicament. And I suppose it relates/d to Davy Jones as well.
How about Madonna's "Beautiful Stranger" - I think it fits perfectly for how Liz could sing/think/describe about Jack:
MUSIC STARTS)(Austin walks into a night club, Madonna singing on the stage. People are dancing)
Haven't we met
You're some kind of beautiful stranger
You could be good for me
I've had the taste for danger
If I'm smart then I'll run away
But I'm not so I guess I'll stay
Heaven forbid
I'll take my chance on a beautiful stranger
I looked into your eyes
And my world came tumbling down
You're the devil in disguise
That's why I'm singing this song
Bridge:
To know you is to love you
You're everywhere I go
And everybody knows
To love you is to be part of you
I've paid for you with tears
And swallowed all my pride
Chorus:
Da-da-da-dum da-dum da-dum da da da-da dum
Beautiful stranger
Da-da-da-dum da-dum da-dum da da da-da dum
Beautiful stranger
If I'm smart then I'll run away
But I'm not so I guess I'll stay
Haven't you heard
I fell in love with a beautiful stranger
I looked into your face
My heart was dancing all over the place
I'd like to change my point of view
If I could just forget about you
(bridge)
I looked into your eyes
And my world came tumbling down
You're the devil in disguise
That's why I'm singing this song to you
That's why i'm singing this song to you . . . . . . . .(repeat til music fades)

This is an awesome song, everytime I hear it all I can think about is Jack and how Liz feels about him....because he is beautiful....
here are the lyrics
He drowns in his dreams
An exquisite extreme I know
He’s as damned as he seems
And more heaven than a heart could hold
And if I try to save him
My whole world could cave in
It just ain't right
It just ain't right
Oh and I don't know
I don't know what is after
But he's so beautiful
Such a beautiful disaster
And if I could hold on
Through the tears and the laughter
Would it be beautiful?
Or just a beautiful disaster
He's magic and myth
As strong as what I believe
A tragedy with
More damage than a soul should see
And do I try to change him?
So hard not to blame him
Hold on tight
Hold on tight
Oh 'cause I don't know
I don't know what is after
But he’s so beautiful
Such a beautiful disaster
And if I could hold on
Through the tears and the laughter
Would it be beautiful?
Or just a beautiful disaster
I'm longing for love and the logical
But he's only happy hysterical
I'm waiting for some kind of miracle
Waited so long
So long
He’s soft to the touch
But frayed at the end he breaks
He’s never enough
And still he's more than I can take
Oh 'cause I don't know
I don't know what is after
But he's so beautiful
Such a beautiful disaster
And if I could hold on
Through the tears and the laughter
Would it be beautiful?
Or just a beautiful disaster
He’s beautiful
Such a beautiful disaster
[Fading]
Beautiful
(Beautiful disaster)
