Jumper or dunker? I don't know about his jumping abilities, but his dunks have been great through his dunk contests. I loved the alley-oop off the back board, between the legs dunk. Plus he bounced it off one side of the backboard and dunked it on the other side of the rim.
kidd returned for the nets and they beat toronto but i was thinking....who would you rather build a team around...richard jefferson or kenya martin...i'd take jefferson.....spreewell is still crying he doenst have an extinsion with the t-wolves...he "needs to feed his family"...he makes 14.6 mill this year....wtf is he feeding his family?
your crazy if you think jefferson is worthless....espicially after the way he elevated his game last year...you shoud try watching more eastern teams besides when they play in the playoffs

I wish the Lakers had a SF like Jefferson. Hes not elite status yet but he has a well rounded game and plays hard, that and his athleticism are a great combo. Kidd wont last long in NJ, its a shame they dismantled the team like that to save salary cap space. If i was a Nets fan id be pissed, but im a Lakers fan so im already pissed.

he's playing a lot better...that's for sure, but he's still a role player. His game isn't big enough to be a star, even though he gets all the hype and TV commercials of a star.
I've been watching a lot more Eastern Conference basketball this year than Pacific Conference, and I've seen enough of the Nets crap-fest to know that they just aren't cutting it this year.
Jefferson is a solid all around player, but he gets wayyyy too much hype for what he delivers.

Has anyone heard about the Kobe and Malone bust up? I was reading it on NBA.com and ESPN.com, it seems Kobe has told Malone he doesnt want him back on his team and told the press that Malone supposed return is a distraction to his team. If thats true then Kobe is a hypocrite, after all he was the reason for the biggest distraction for the Lakers last year. I am a big Kobe fan, more for his on court play but hearing things like this (if its true) are making it increasingly hard to cheer him on as a Lakers fan. Any other Laker fans feel the same way? I know the rest of the NBA fans hate him already.

Karl Malone is the ONLY shot the Lakers have at making it to the playoffs this year. When his team actually has a better record than the Clippers, then maybe he should speak up, but until then he just better get used to the taste of being a loser, because he's going to be a loser for most of his career with the attitude he's displayed in the past couple of seasons.
If Kobe had the audacity to say that to Karl Malone's face...he'd get the sh!t beat out of him beyond recognition.
Kicking Shaq out was one thing, but kicking Karl Malone out is just....christ...it's beyond words.
I hate to be the type to abandon a team when they are doing bad, but giving Kobe all this power is really turning me off the team. I really like the style of play Karl Malone brings to the court...and Kobe just ruined any chance of Karl coming back as a Laker. What a selfish piece of shit.
You would think that having Karl back on the team could only benefit them. Kobe should be doing his best to convince him to come back and play for them, last year Karl was the glue that held the Lakers together. Having a big man that can pass like Malone would only help with the flood of double teams that Kobe is facing. Ive always tried to find ways to defend Kobe before by saying there is always 2 sides to the story (referring to the Kobe, Shaq and Phil saga) but Malone is about the most straight talking no bullshit person you can find and there is no reason for him to be making this stuff up. Kobe should make this right or risk losing a great a player and friend in Malone.
It's more than just his passing ability...Karl Malone is one of the few guys in the league that can handle your Tim Duncans, Kevin Garnetts, Yao Mings, Rasheed Wallaces, and Jermaine O'neils without needing a double team.
He'd be great for Kobe on the pick and roll now that Shaq is gone because now there's all that room in the paint to work with.
I didn't know Kobe Bryant was the player/coach/owner/general manager....i just thought he was a typical spoiled superstar.
Exactly, Malone is still a great PF. How many other PF in the league can you still see playing at the level he played at last year at the age of 40+? It sure is frustrating being a Laker fan when you hear about your star player acting like this, even the guy who Kobe tries to emulate MJ realised the importance of having a great supporting cast.

its no secret that nets suck they could be the rest team in the nba...jefferson (with kidd being hurt) is the only player they have so you'd think defenses would be able to shut him down espicially with that sh*t cast the nets call a team but jefferson still averaging is 21 ppg...give him some help and he could be averaging 24 or 25 ppg
i hope that is true that kobe doesnt want malone back...i've been a huge malone fan my whole life but also hated the lakers my whole life...i hate seeing him in lakers uniform..i;d rather he retired with stockton....the worse off the lakers are the happier are i am 🙂
