Lakers and Pistons in the finals would be great. I'd love to see the Celtics go home with their tails tucked along with their sense of entitlement. What makes them so great? The best record in the regular season?? Play-offs are the REAL season, screw them!

what makes them so great? have you not noticed they're in the eastern finals?

good turn away by portland. the trade would have hurted them in the long run. mike miller is a good player but i'd keep with the nucleus the blazers have and let them develop.

They beat Atlanta, a team they should have had much less trouble with, and Cleveland without winning on the road. That doesn't bode well for them. The East is a cakewalk compared to the West. The Pistons and Magic were the only real threats to the Celtics in the East.... they BETTER have gotten to the Eastern Finals. Had they played in West, I doubt they'd be in the Western Finals. The Spurs, Jazz, Lakers and Hornets would have whipped them in 7.

Go Lakers

I hope Kobe goes to the line a lot

Play as a team, good bench play. We will be in the finals

Glad to see somebody agrees with me. Outlaw has improved every year he has been in the league. Miller is 4.5 years older than Outlaw and is already at his peak. With Outlaw's work ethic and how much time he has left, I am 90% sure he will end up being better than Mike Miller (not at 3's but overall). Outlaw's goal this next year is to make the all-star game. Will he do it? Doubtful, but I love how he sets expectations high. As nice as it would be to have a solid 3 point shooter, defense is going to be just as necessary at the SF position, and Outlaw already has Miller beat there. And all that is not even considering what the pick may bring us.

I heard Outlaw works out with Kobe in the offseason, so you know he cant fail to improve going against the best. I'd take Outlaw's all around game especially on defense over Millers shooting and like you said that #13 pick could be useful.

Koolruningz, great sig, first of all. Second, I agree with all your Lakers writings. I think I am more excited about next season than next serie, however. The thought of a full year with this squad and a healthy Bynum brings tears to my eyes. LOL

Thanks man, thats a cool thing to say. I know a ramble alot when it comes to hoops especially my Lakers, but you can imagine how many people i have to talk to about hoops here in New Zealand. I could talk hoops all day so i love coming into this thread and letting it all out (even if nobody is listening). With Bynum next year we are downright scary, our frontline is massive and they are all great passers playing in the greatest motion offense ever. We should own the boards with Lamar and Drew and with that kind of length we are gonna be very hard to score against.
Good to see another Wu fan in the thread, Liquid Swords is one of my favorite albums.

they're there though, and they've beaten the pistons at home. all coming from a team that has had less than a years experience together. the longer they go, the better they'll get. its quite possible if in the west they wouldnt have gone so far, but its also possible they may still have got that far.

kool, same here man. i'm in the uk and there aint many people near me who care about basketball too much so its nice coming on here talking about it. wish i got to see more but the coverage is horrendous.

So that's where Outlaw got that beautiful fad away 😉

Of course, Outlaw only does it from about 10 feet out usually.

Together we made it!!!!!!

17 point come back.

Well, you can't say the Lakers didn't earn it.

Of course, as a Suns/Jazz fan, I want the Celtics or Pistons to take it all. crackers

LAKERS

4 MORE 2 GO

Tell em Bruce

Kobe was incredible. Pau had a bad game, but 19 boards awesome. Lamar also helped on the glass

Energy came from Farmar. Go Bruin

WwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!

^^^^ I second that.

Unbelievable win last night, just amazing. After the way we played in the first half i thought we blown a tremendous opportunity, but Kobe just would not let us lose. What i loved about that incredible 4th quarter by Kobe is that he used the screen and roll play instead of just isolations, it gives him so many options when we have shooters on the floor and it means the defense cant just load up on him. Also all of his moves were going to the hoop even the pull up jumpers, he was just unguardable and considering the team we were playing you cant get any higher praise than that.
We need to look at the negatives in this game to though and make adjustments for the finals, the Spurs showed a few chinks in our armour and good defensive teams like the Celtics or Pistons will be sure to try and exploit them.
Hard to think like that now though, we are back in the finals baby! What a season for Laker fans, four more wins to go!

Check out this cool article from a Celtics fan.

Lakers vs Celtics 🙂

I would have rather played the Pistons to get revenge.

I'm so ****in bummed. I can't believe the Pistons got outworked. And to let get out worked in there own building and have the Celtics celebrate on our home floor, that was disgusting. I knew if we were going to have a chance all 5 of our starters had to play good, and Rasheed didn't show up tonight, or for the series, except game 5, I love Rasheed but we really needed him tonight and he just didnt show up. It looked like he lost his fire for the game, and thats what drives his game so I have no idea what were going to do next year. The only positive out of this is that you really seen the potential of Maxiel and Stuckey, and I'm hoping Dumars keeps Flip.

Hahaha, Psitons are gonna get blown up now

spacemoney.... the celtics have beaten the pistons twice on they're own floor.... bodes well now?

the lakers are a different thing to the pistons. not as phyisical as the pistons, or as good defensively, but offensively they can slaughter you. kobe, can be lethal, pau is good for 20, lamar can knock 20 down too. i think kg will do well against pau, its whos gonna defend kobe time though. posey perhaps?
