Why Jonny Depp?

I know we all agree he's a great actor but say if they chose someone else,... Would it be the same?? Now we think"corse not!" but really think,.. pretend he didn't exist,.. then what??

then we probabaly wouldnt enjoy the movies as much!

No..he makes the movie interesting..his unique potrayal of jack is an amazing one..no body in this world could do it the same like Johnny..it be good but it wouldn't be as it is now

EEEk i cannot think of one single actor who could have portrayed Jack Sparrow like Johnny. Jack Sparrow was INVENTED by Johnny-- we've all heard how the Disney execs were freaking out about his "out there" portrayal of the "normal pirate" they had wanted for the film. Johnny told them they could either trust and accept his work or they could fire him. They decided to stick it out and kept Johnny on. The rest, of course, is history. cheers

if he did not exsist pirates of the caribbean the movie would not exist

a lot of people could play the part but they wouldnt have done it the way johnny did

i agree no one could do it like johnny-he's an original
but i do think i'd still like it if it wasn't him, i mean before pirates if you were to say the name johnny depp to me i'd be like who??
plus we'd know nothing but who ever is playing the character so i think most people would still like the movie

wrong....Johnny Depp is jack Sparrow and Jack Sparrow is Johnny Depp.....no one, no one else could play Jack Sparrow...if it were someone else then it would not even be the same character really, so this whole conversation is pretty unecessary..bye bye

but IF JACK SPARROW WAS NEVER PLAYED BY JOHNNY DEPP THEN YOU WOULD NEVER CONNECT THEM TOGETHER THAT'S JUST HOW IT WORKED OUT IF IT WAS ANOTHER HOT FUNNY GUY PLAYING JACK SPARROW YOU WOULD SAY THE SAME EXACT THING ABOUT THAT GUY!!!
