Johnny was my first celebrity crush at the age of 9.
I sat down and watched 'nick of time' with my mum and thought;
"Oooh! Who is that?!" 😄
After that I got excited when sleepy hollow came to the cinemas!!!!!
(its so weird to think...i remember not being able to go to the pics to see sleepy hollow because i was only 13 and it was a 15 rating lol). 🙂
Then he was in the back of my mind for a few years while i liked other celebrities (all bad guys obviously lol!!!) ... I remember having to choose between draco malfoy and Ichabod crane because my friends made me choose...i couldn't bring myself to do it lol.
Well, when POTC came out he ruled my heart again lol! 😄
And has ever since....much to the annoyance of my boyfriend lol!

Omg I LOVE Wuthering Heights! It's the only movie that makes me cry lol. The book is so well-written, and I've watched the 1939 version too many times to count. So I have something in common with Johnny AND you lol.
Ah!! Johnny was definitely my first celebrity crush...even when I didn't know WHO he was.
I saw him in Blow and I was like WOW. And his acting in that movie was GREAT but all I could think about was...wow! This guy is so good looking!!
His name was always on the back of my mind you know? I heard a lot about him. And I remember when we wanted to go watch COTBP my mom asked my aunt: "Who's the guy who stars in this? They say he's pretty good!"
And neither could remember.
I'll never forget how I randomly guessed: "Johnny Depp?!"
Everyone: "Ah! That's it!"
And when I watched it the exact moment I saw him standing up there in the beginning of COTBP...I was in awe and then of course I giggled when I saw he was in a sinking boat and not a giant ship.
I swear that one look got me hooked.
Yeah I've had a few crushes since then but he was the first and the BEST!!!
Okay, this is embarrasing to admit but when I saw the commercial for COTBP, I wasn't interested at all. I believe my words were similar to "Who would want to go see a movie like that?" (*hides face and dodges tomatoes*) How wrong I was! I first got interested in Johnny when I saw the trailer for CATCF and wondered if all his movies were sorta weird like that (don't get me wrong, I loved him as Wonka) so I started checking out his other movies and got totally hooked. My good friend told me if I was a JD fan, I *had* to see POTC - he had no idea what he was getting himself into by introducing me to this. And thus to conclude my story, Pirates have been my life for two years now.
