Johnny will never act in such movies like Mr and Mrs Smith, Mission Impossible or Bourne Identity, etc, get my drift? The only reason why he dio Pirates is becos' of his kids and maybe to get a kick out of seeing Disney's reaction. He's too indy, edgy and arty. He'll never fit into those type of films. I also hope he'll never do those political commentary type of films. I'll hate it if he gets involved in politics. To me, he's just a hero-type in a very old-fashioned way.
Again, why not Winona and him in a quirky edgy film? They're professionals, they can get their past behind. They're still friends, right?

agreed...I love the fact that he always picks movies he likes. Whether other people like it or not. I bet if he knew Pirates would be a big franchise he wouldn't have wanted to play in it but once he fell in love with captain Jack's character (didn't we all?) he agreed to do more.
He's set for Rum Diary BTW. That should be interesting.
Also...I caught a glimpse of some Johnny/Vanessa pics in Ok!...they were on a romantiv cruise! Awwwww! And according to th emagazine they ARE going to be married...I'm still waiting a bit before I totally believe it. You can never totally trust the media.

She and Johnny are very much alike in terms of their music tastes and artistic sensibilities. Which is why I thought they could act together in a film which they both like. I mean, personal history aside, they are professionals, after all.

from the moment he shows back up on the Pearl and steps on that gun until he goes into the mouth of the Kracken....that was a side of Jack Sparrow that we only got to see once ...I thought we were going to see more of it in AWE but instead we just got a more comical, insane Pirate....
I loved how he looked so manly ...he let down his guard in that scene....he is so sexy and manly when he says "She's only a ship mate" and then when he is in that coat and his back is to Elizabeth and he is saying his silent goodbye to the Pearl and his freedom.....I just want to melt...and then when he turns and says "We're not free yet, luv"....so serious, so caring..and then the way he is looking at her just before she kisses him...and the smile he's giving her after she chains him ....just awesome....and it was that scene alone that convinced many of us that we were going to see a different side of Jack in AWE...but alas, it was not to be...instead of staying the character he had developed into by the end of DMC he just went right back to being the Pirate that had sailed into Port Royal two years previous....except for the end....when he is about to stab the heart and then when he helps Will stab it and the Parachute scene...that is reminiscant of how he was in the Kiss of death scene...and when he gets back on the Pearl and Gibbs is talking to him and he says "I've never been one much for tradition".....and when he yells "fire"....there was a small glimpse of who he had become..but then when Liz tells him bye...he's back in Tortuga wining and dining Strumpets....until he notices his beloved ship is gone......
