Confirming rumors that have been swirling for several days, an official press release from the 64th annual Venice Film Festival states that "the Festival's Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement is to be awarded to Tim Burton by his long-standing colleague, Johnny Depp." So we will be looking for a pair of golden lions--Tim Burton and Johnny Depp--to arrive in Venice for Tim Burton Day, Wednesday, September 5th. Special events for Tim Burton Day include a screening of the digital 3D version of the Burton classic, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, and "a world premiere of some sequences from the eagerly-awaited SWEENEY TODD." The awards ceremony--by invitation only--begins in the Sala Grande at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening, followed by the screening of NIGHTMARE (in English with Italian subtitles. I wonder if the SWEENEY TODD clips will be subtitled, too?)

Hey everyone, I'm back. Avoiding the shipping stuff, of course. But here to discuss the first & second movies and the actors, because I really do miss it here.
Lol I'm not much of an Orlando kind of girl. And actually, I'm even less of a Zac kind of girl. I really don't find him attractive at all >_< I do like Tom Felton, though. 🙂 And Justin Berfield. He's on my sig. Not the bestt pictures of him. But he's on a show called Malcolm in the Middle and a really good actor, and hotter on-screen than in pictures. 😉

I did try to take pics from the mag and I'll post them just so you know I tried but they aren't very good. Neither is my French but I'll translate as much as I can (the interesting parts of course) Vanessa mentioned how happy they are living in the south of france and that johnny wanted to write some of the songs with her like last time but couldn't due to being busy with work. They both decided that since there was a song dedicated to Lily on the last album they wanted one dedicated to Jack too so there's a song called "Jackida" on her new album. She didn't say if Johnny plays guitar on this album too...

Also Elle complimented Johnny and Vanessa and said that they're unique (DUH!) and never gave in to Hollywood and have a 'retro' style even though it's not popular in California...and then the pictures...I know you've seen most of them cause I have too. The one on the left with Johnny in the black suit is new to me though...just thought you guys may be interested.

P.S: Vanessa's videos are all over the place (album comes out next week). She is REALLY good.

Hambah, I agree. I'm not much of a Zac or Orli girl. Yes, I think they are both sorta cute, but nothing too special (dodges tomatoes from Zac/Orli fangirls). Not meaning to step on any toes, but they just seem like a fad, the newest hunk of meat for teen girls - especially Zac. Its sad that he is totally typecast as Troy (as Orli is somewhat as the Whelp), I just feel like I can't take them seriously as an actor. Thats what is just so special about Johnny - he's got the looks, but backs it up with *incredible* talent.

Oh, I also agree with Hambah (and T.Maria) Tom Felton is *hot*. He's one of the only blonds I actually like, his hair just looks so soft! Like cornsilk! (*runs to see if there is an active draco lovefest*)

I agree about Orli and Zac...which is sad because they're both cute (not really my taste but still cute). I really adore Zac but I can't be that infatuated with him...simply because the circumstances. It's like after HSM everyone just decided that he was the new Orlando Bloom...which is a shame really because Zac is awesome and talented but I wish he could show that instead of playing heart throb roles like everyone wants him to(he's much more than a teen fantasy but he's treated like that). I still like him though.

But lets think...if Zac got nominated for choice hotty before he was famous Orli would totally win! Fame is half the vote...for years it's be Orlando and now it's Zac.

Which is why I love Johnny so much i guess. To be honest at first I wasn't so much into his looks. I saw clearly that he was handsome (DUH!) but never thought of him in that way...I mean the 'oh gosh this is the sexiest man alive I want some one like him when I grow up and Vanessa is so luck' way...I though he was talented, funny and amazing but when I got older I developed a bad case of JDOCD.

Oh I like those two! I have her old album Bliss...Johnny plays amazung guitar on that. That's why I bought it but soon I found that Vanessa herself has a lovely voice...she really does.Most her studd is Pop but she has some soft Rock tracks. I don't like her old ones but her new ones are good and her new album is out in a few days. I hope Johnny plays guitar on that too! (prays)
