I'm saw Sweeney again for the fourth and last time as it was the last showing at the theater in my town and I still love the scene right before My Friends where Sweeney follows Lovett up the stairs because his butt looks especially great in that scene on a completely shallow fangirly note, lol

LOL well my father was a huge Michael Jackson fan and that was the closest thing I could associate with Edward Scissorhands at the time being so young you see and Edward being so unique that he really didn't look like much else that I had seen, lol. 😄
That movie though is what made me interested in Tim Burton (before I realized he also directed Batman one of my all time faves) It's hilarious though because I have seen a lot of Johnny's work obviously through Tim but I never really thought he was hot or anything like that (actually I was one of the girls who got annoyed when people talked about how hot he was believe it or not because I didn't see it) until I saw the Sweeney Todd preview. Honestly in that 2 minute ad I was like..OMG I see it now! Johnny Depp IS hot!! How could I have missed it in all these years?
I told one of my friends since childhood who is a lesbian (she just came out a year ago to me) that I finally see what she was saying about Johny Depp and she was like "Well even I knew he was hot, and I like women!" lol
Scissorhands for me was the complete spell--I fell so hard for the story--never saw Johnny Depp, really never dawned on me at all becos I was so very very very much in love with the sweetest story (yes, I'm a huge mushy marshmellow in real life!). I had seen Crybaby on tv somewhere and didn't know that they were the same person. Loved Crybaby becos it was naughty and fun and 50s. Never knew he was on 21 Jump street when it was in it's heyday--then PotC--ain't been right since or wasn't right before, take your pick. I'm PotC, Sparrow forever--stuck in yet another fabulous time loop that will play out to the last days of embracing my inner pirate.
