In The Sorcerer's Apprentice, there is a scene in an antiquities store, including rapiers. I didn't pay a lot of attention to it until I saw this page in a book.
Now, I don't recall him using rapiers like this in the films and I've been told that they aren't the right age for the first three films so does this mean that he really does live forever or at least for a very long time? Or is Balthazar, the shop keeper, being less than truthful for a sale? Diamond-tipped? Really?
