JesusIsAlive> Sorry to disagree with you, but I can't see any mention of sodomy (which in actuallity can describe any "dirty" sexual act, and not just anal sex) in those quotes. It seems a little too vague for me to decide whether or not you are right.

I s'pose it is really up to your imagination, then.

It is not a crime to disagree with me (I know I come off like it is, my bad). The phrase, "know them" in this context and others, means, implies, and suggests "sexual relations." Read:

Genesis 4:1
Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, “I have acquired a man from the LORD.”

The only way that a man can "know" or have sexual relations in any form with another man is through what society refers to as "sodomy." That is as graphic as I am going to get.

Thank you for admitting that you come across disagreeable. Knowledge can set you free

Hmm....alright, I concede your point, (since you quote from Genesis, and I don't have a Bible handy), but I still have my doubts.

BTW: I'm sorry if people find my previous post (at the top of the page) "graphic."

Exxxxxxxxxactly. Friends can be friends and even love each other strongly without it crossing the line into homosexuality. I know that I have childhood homies that I love--AS FRIENDS AND BROTHERS ONLY THOUGH. Don't get it twisted.

Homosexuality is not about freindship...it is about Love or sexual attraction or both.....freindship is freindship without sexuality of anykind, including heterosexual....

You're point, as always, is mute and irrelevant. You obviously know nothing of homosexuality or bisexuality as you always assume it is about dirty lust.....

Sodom and Gomorrah's sin wasn't homosexuality, it was...you know, gang-rape.

Which is a completely different, and more understandable cause for severe punishment (or atleast in my opinion)

I'd be much more happy if that was the case, though it begs the question why so many Christian's use it to support the anti-homosexual stance of the Church.

Yes Yes ✅

Because they ignore the fact that homosexual men aren't likely to produce (or compose) a city's worth of children and the scripture that specifically mentions that the sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was "inhospitality".

What with the gang rape. And the other forms of wickedness.

That would make sense... so you fully support gay equality and the proposition (the logical and just one) that there is nothing sinful about them?

The view of Josephus
Flavius Josephus, a Romano-Jewish historian, wrote:

"Now, about this time the Sodomites, overweeningly proud of their numbers and the extent of their wealth, showed themselves insolent to men and impious to the Divinity, insomuch that they no more remembered the benefits that they had received from Him, hated foreigners and avoided any contact with others. Indignant at this conduct, God accordingly resolved to chastise them for their arrogance, and not only to uproot their city, but to blast their land so completely that it should yield neither plant nor fruit whatsoever from that time forward." Jewish Antiquities 1:194-195
