I'm sure he expected to die, but wouldn't say "If I'm gonna die, I want you to record it for the people of the world to watch!" 😬

The crew man that tried to revive Steve will be on Larry King Live. Along with the producer. Also, the police have watched the video of him being killed. They said it was VERY hard to watch him die.And that Steve TRIED to pull out the barb, but couldn't fully get it out.......

What the hell for? You've gotta be pretty sick to want to see a persons last moments of life. Besides, people are so afraid of this video falling inot the wrong hands after the police and coroner have finished with it, they have requested it be destroyed, so no one can ever view it. The last thing anyone wants is for footage of his death posted on the internet for all those sick and depraved people to watch. 😠

True as it may be, he apparently wanted his death to be caught on tape 😬
R.I.P Steve Irwin
Yeah i heard about this too. evidently he was swimming filming for a show and he disturbed a sting ray. The ray stabed Steve in the heart injecting posion that circulated throughout his body instantly (crionky). He pulled the ray tail out and fell dead instantly. Its ashame I always thought it would be a Crocidile!
crybaby crybaby crybaby
Something's telling me to post this.I posted it at another Steve thread.
His career was being an animal conservationist! To rescue, help and relocate animals. And to show that animals should NOT be considered dangerous.
That if an animal attacks, YOU did something wrong, whether you know it or not.The animal didn't do anything wrong.
Just because a stingray killed him doesn't mean we should think they're dangerous,Steve wouldn't of wanted that.....Oh no,I'm starting to sound like Steve....YEA!! No I can help spread his message!

No, dumby, they were filming him for a documentary.
No, he meant something else....on the tv shows with his friends/family/crew and so on, they said that Steve always wanted the camera to be filming no matter what happened, he probably figured there was a good chance something like this would happen and that it should be filmed to show the realism of situations with dangerous animals...

I read that, it's so heartbreaking that he tried to pull it out. It's like, I dunno, I can't find the right word...but very upsetting!
It was probably the best way for him to die actually, he could have been mauled violently by a shark or crocodile, bitten by a snake and had a slow painful death, but he was stung by a stingray, spent the last few moments of his life pulling the barb out, then died pretty soon afterwards, probably without much pain. If I was him, thats certainly a way I'd rather go out.

Nice...pun? 😑 What's pun?
You said "it's so heartbreaking", and he died from an injury to his heart...hence the pun.

2. It is better than to go like that I suppose, but it wouldn't be the way for me. I'd like to go in bed in my sleep. I wished he'd go like that, not like this.
3. Oh I see...that's quite bad, since his heart was actually broken, in a way. I didn't realise this though, but still, it is heartbreaking no matter how he would have died.
I hate to say it, but he was foolish to say "Keep rolling, no matter what. I'll ask for help if I need it." Underwater he can't speak but I bet he didn't ask for help anyway, just wanted to keep filming. The cameramen probably just did just that & that's why he wasn't helped until it was too late.
If he was helped when in danger like this, he could still be alive. I think he likes to do a lot on his own & that's what killed him. He should let people help him if a crocodile is eating him, otherwise he won't live longer to help those animals he cared for so much. Fans, friends & family all would be sad about his death, just like it has been.
He wouldn't want that, just for the sake of "Keep filming," it's not worth it. Okay so I'm guessing he didn't actually mean it when he said, "Keep filming even if I'm being eaten by a croc," because he wouldn't be in control then, but handling crocodiles & snakes etc on his own, he is in control. He said he was in complete control when he had Bob with him while feeding a crocodile.
I think he was in control the whole time, because he wouldn't put his children in danger like that if he wasn't. But still I don't think he should have done it because it caused chaos & then he was turned away by people.
I still can't believe it & cried still yesterday, while watching Crocodile Hunter with mum. We kept talking about it & started crying again. Since Monday I have been, probably again tonight.
I don't know what to think is the problem & also I don't believe that much, it's almost that I won't believe it, even though it's true. I'm so close to not believing & actaully want to forget his death, otherwise I will upset myself more & then make my mum cry.
But I know he's gone & he won't be coming back. I really wanted to just meet him once, shake his hand & say hello & talk a little. He's so great & wonderful, why happen to a guy like that!? Even more that it was so unlucky! Three or four people in Australia have died the same way within 100 years & that's far too long for someone to go like Steve Irwin.
Our cats kept us back from going, it's them! I don't like to blame them, it's not their fault, but it's the reason we don't go on holiday for more than a day. Someone's gotta look after them & not to be let out because some don't come back until night, & we can't expect someone to wait until they come in. We can't keep them in all that time, so what can we do? Nothing!
We're having a big cat run thing in our garden, so they can go out but no farther than our garden. No over fences or down the road, just there. At least then they can get some fresh air.
I'd go myself & a friend, but I'm only 17 & wouldn't feel great in Australia on my own. Mum wouldn't like it anyway. If I was older, I would have gone & met him myself! I'll still go though, sometime... 🙁 but he won't be there.... 🙁
I'm going to make a sketch book sort of thing with stuck in images of Steve. A little remeberance book for him.
