Actually, Ultraman lifted him, but Skydon's flames with the pressure of lifting something that is increasing his mass by the minute that already is causing a crater by sitting. Ultraman retreated, his color timer blinking. He knew that it wasn't going anywhere. Still, the Science Patrol was finally able to shoot Skydon thousands of feet into the air. But he then plummeted down, and by Ide's statement, if he hit the earth, the entire east would be utterly destroyed due to the incredible hit by such a powerful force. When it bolted towards the earth with power greater than the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs times fifty, Ultraman flew to destroy it, and guess what? It caused a mass explosion that filled the sky. Ultraman won, unharmed. Interesting, huh? Makes you think he didn't originally take it seriously, just like in most battles. Why? Because he is just that powerful.
