I just find that odd as I've never heard anything like that before.

And people tend to differentiate between British and American English already as it is, because of the spelling differences, word meanings, etc.

I remember having a remote like that... Didn't use the simple side much though... I think my brain is developed enough to use a side with twice the amount of buttons. w00t

It's like aluminium...it gets pronounced a-luminum....I thought they were saying 'a luminum can' so at first I though luminum was a shorted version of Aluminium...😑
