Anyway, I don't see why people make such a big deal over meeting people from online. Most people who do so don't just go "hey, I've talked to you once, let's meet up!", they've actually known and talked to the person for a good period of time.

I think it's a bit strange (I probably wouldn't do it), but ah, what the hell, we're all different. Live and let live.

I met a person from the internet once. Of course, it was after a couple years of getting to know each other via IMs, emails, and personal chat rooms and such. So the tension was still there, but it wasn't a trust issue.
