I think Darksied with the ALE, is a pretty powerful funder, if one considers seven soldiers.
We know the New Gods are involved some how and there have been a few hints.
Mannheim is working for someone else who isn't the traditional Darksied,
Grayven is working for someone who wants to get back at Darksied. Firestorm hints that there are now two sets of New Gods, and we definitely know there is a multi verse. And myxx stated to Darksied at the end of loebs Batman/Superman that Darkseid was going to play a role in a incident that would stretch from the 5th Dimension to the 4th World. We also know that D.C. universe is heading towards a Kingdom Come Esq scenario. 🙂
