Nought or Zero?

Nought or Zero?

What do you say when you mean 0. Nought or Zero?

[I use Nought! w00t (But I used to say Zero. ermm)]

Spoiler:
I will not except 0, O/o (with or without an accent), Nil or Oh.

Not sure... Voted Nought.

I say Zero.

Whichever.

O

w00t

I say zero except when zero is used in 0, 00, 000 style measurements.

Then I use naught, double naught, etc.

nOught. 😐

PS- While either way is correct, if you use naught all the time you're just being pretentious.

Sort of like people who say "irregardless" instead of "regardless".

I ashamed to say it's now an acceptable form of speech.

The one that'll invade you if you don't agree. 😉

American English: zero.
British English: nought.

Nought before and after the decimal point. Oh after a decimal point as well, in telephone numbers, in (hotel) room numbers and in years. Nil in footbal scores.

Ceterum censeo OTF esse delendam.
