Now that makes it sound cool as hell, and it makes a great experience for fans who started with RE4.

WTF? Originally this game was suppose to fill in all the gaps post-CV, post-Dead Aim and lead up to RE4. I really hope they add new stuff to the RE1,2,3, and 4 "chapters." I personally think the games are masterpieces already and don't need a second go-through.
Also, what happened to the game supposedly starting Jill and Ada, and you control each at different times? 😑

Pretty broken door...Damn, this better be sweet. Too bad it won't be Resident Evil 5, but hey, that's what the 360's for, right?
RE5 is on Ps3 also.
And this will be better then RE5 to me, #1 I loath Chris Redfield, he sucked ass horribly in the original. I myself in the mansion with only a gun could of survived further, yeah I can't play a piano, but I wouldn't need a ****in sword key to open a "simple lock." He also doesn't deserve his own game, he was already in that piece of garbage Code:Veronica.
5 should of starred Billy, or someone who hasn't been around in a while, or Carlos, Barry, someone.
5 also mooches off 4's gameplay success, which Capcom said in a Game Informer issue preview when RE4 got delayed to January 05' that each game would now have an original, beginning, middle, and ending. If it's so original, why is it repeating gameplay?
Plus with no new videos or images at E3, and every other event that went on this summer, I sense an easy predicition: RE4 gameplay with prettier graphics, in some desert, with useless Chris Redfield pasted in.
On topic though, I really hope Capcom just sticks to the idea of alternating between Ada and Jill. I don't want to play through the original outbreak again. 1-3 are classics, Code:Veronica is trash, and Zero is alright. They shouldn't be re-done.

All of last year when RE4 was tearing up the charts with success a japanese magazine got translated saying it was Chris, but that was a year ago. Not many new pics, and such, makes a February 2007 release kind of strange.
First gameplay footage...

Wow, that looks absolutely awful. 😬
Oh thank god!!!!
Gametrailers messed up and thought this was RE. They even labeled it so.
Ok, my(and GT) mistake, this game looks awful.

EDIT: If Lana feels like erasing these to posts, she is more than welcome. *hint* *hint* lol
You scared the shit out of me, fella.
Anyway, I think this sounds decent enough, as long as it is a full blown Resident Evil title, and not some half assed spin/rip off a la Gun Survivor or Outbreak. I want them to continue the main story line or fill in the blanks while giving us more of want from an RE game.
I'm much rather play RE5, though. Too bad it won't ever show up on the WII.
Wow, one of my most anticipated Wii games just dropped completely off my list. 😬
April 4, 2007 - If you were expecting a full Resident Evil style adventure game in Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii, you'd better sit down for this one. The latest issue of Famitsu has a first look at the game following the teaser look provided last September in the build up to the Tokyo Game Show. Surprisingly, Capcom has opted to make a gun shooting game rather than a survival horror adventure.Umbrella Chronicles takes place from the first person as your characters move through a fully 3D mansion. Using the Wiimote, you take aim at enemies and fire away. You have control over your path only at the occasional branch points in the stages. Everywhere else, you're on a fixed path, although you are free to look around. Doing so is apparently the key to discovering secret items.
Outside of the first person shooting, the game will bring back the command-based event sequences of Resident Evil 4. During these sequences, you'll get to see the main characters directly face off against attacking zombies.
Umbrella Chronicles brings the original Resident Evil hero and heroine back into the spotlight. That's right, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine play prominent roles this time around. Famitsu hints that they'll be adventuring together, although we're not sure if this means we can expect multiplayer support. The two S.T.A.R.S. members will be joined by some other recognizable characters, including Albert Wesker, Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen.
The game's storyline looks like it will fit the name "Chronicles." You can expect to be filled in on the details behind everything from RE0 all the way to collapse of the Umbrella Corporation at the start of RE4.
Your first look at Umbrella Chronicles will likely come in late May, as Capcom will be including a trailer for the game with the Wii version of Resident Evil 4. As for the full game, it's currently 25% complete and without a final release date.

Gun Survivor anyone? :😐

But in better news, RE4 for the Wii. 💃
April 4, 2007 - The Wii version of Resident Evil 4 was confirmed earlier today for inclusion in the elite "Worst Kept Secrets" club as Famitsu spilled the beans on the title in its latest issue. The Famitsu report comes following the game's appearance in retailer databases on two continents.Titled Biohazard 4 Wii Edition in Japan (the RE series is known as Biohazard in its home country), this update promises full Wiimote support. The Wiimote is used to aim a targeting cursor in order to target and fire at your enemies. To reload, you hold down on the B trigger and shake the Wiimote. In case you were wondering, the built-in speaker is being programmed with a reload sound effect.
The Wiimote is also used for close-range attacks. When an enemy approaches, all you have to do is give the Wiimote a little of the shake-shake. The game automatically detects the direction of the enemy and makes Leon perform a knife attack. This move can also be used against trees and barrels.
The rest of the game has also been modified to take account of the Wii's unique controller. Interactive event scenes display the Wii buttons when prompting for input. Some events require that you shake the Wiimote.
The producers of the Wii version revealed to Famitsu that one of their goals is to allow families who play the Wii together to experience Resident Evil. The game will include "Easy" and "Amateur" difficulty settings, selectable from the start, that will make aiming easier and keep your life from depleting too fast.
Even if you're a RE pro, you'll probably want to take a look at the Wii version, especially if you didn't try out the PS2 version of the game. All the bonus elements that made it into the PS2 version are being included in the Wii release. That includes the "The Another Order" sequence, where you play as Ada.
And on top of all that is a first look at Umbrella Chronicles! A trailer for the first original Wii entry in the Resident Evil series (be sure and check out our separate preview) will be included with RE4 Wii Edition.
RE4 is set for Japanese Wii release on 5/31. While it hasn't officially been announced outside of Japan yet, its appearance in retailer databases late last week suggests that Wii players everywhere will get to experience this Capcom classic through a new control scheme.
Yeah, this game is going to fail, The Survivor games bombed, this sucks. I wish there was a chance at this, and I'm getting pretty sick of Chris. THIS IS HIS 4TH GAME NOW! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!
And WHY are they STILL wearing their S.T.A.R.S. uniforms if this is post-CVX, Pre-4 about the downfall of Umbrella? I except the other events to be MENTIONED, but they should CHANGE uniforms now since the city was destroyed.
Stupid Arcade Rail Gameplay, the trailer looks great. 🙁
