Wii: (Biohazard)Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles

Depends on if you already have RE4 for gamecube or something else, if you have never played it, get RE4.

Well I played Gamecube version.

Well you know how good it is then, the only difference is the controls and the extras which you have to unlock by playing the whole thing again.

Umbrella is good enough to recommend if you have already played RE4.

So how good is this game? Let me just bring it down to this:

Umbrella Chronicles or Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition?

Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition definitely without question. You have to play that game, preferably on the Nintendo Wii if you have one.

I'm already thinking about playing it again, which is rare for me and video games and I probably would ahora mismo if not for all of these new games that are piling up on me that I need to play.

Anata wa wakarimasu ka.....

I played through RE4 a couple times on gamecube and I was pretty excited when the Wii Edition came out, but I havent really played it much. Ive played more of Umbrella Chronicles in the short time I have had it.

Maybe I dont play it because I got dumped the day it came out. 🙁 lol

I played RE4:WE a fair amount when it came out, up to the cottage scenario. After that point I just became disinterested, though that may in part be related to having beat the game on Gamecube thrice before.

Nothing stopped me playing RE:UC until I beat the secret level after all the story scenarios.

Haha, the cottage is where I stopped too. lol

What is the secret scario?

A weird kind of shooting gallery with a load of those pale naked zombies. Kind of hard to describe, so here:

YouTube video

Spoilers, sorta.

I unlocked that two days ago,the zombies popped their heads over and under the table and I thought it some type of arcade game, next thing I know, I'm dead.

Yeah, I'm not fond of the bonus level, but it is what it is, I beat the game on Easy, just need to find some files now. I actually liked it overall, Zero's story was pretty crummy, but games haven't been perfect to me for a while now, so oh well.

I beat the game on Medium before even touching Easy (I honestly didn't know you could switch after starting a file). I've been working on upgrading all the guns before attempting Hard.

Always play on normal, or hard.

This game was fun for a few hours

Did you purchase the game and if so, was it worth it?

Yeah, i bought it. I would say it is a solid rental, especially if you have a few friends you can play with. Unless, you are an avid Resident evil fan the redundancy will become smothering without a band of friends. As an arcade shooter, it is essentially house of the dead set in the RE universe which re-visits old RE locations. Even as a fan of RE, i wouldnt recommend buying it, but as an RE fan and wi owner, you should definitely play it.

A few nitpicky things annoyed me about the game (Much different then my major annoyances above), mostly things to do with common sense , logic and pre-game documents.

Rockfort Island should of been included. I mean that was part of Umbrella right?
Leon should of been in it too.

Rockfort Island already had its own Shooter, and Leon has NOTHING to do with Umbrellas downfall, thus he wasn't included. Hell I was surprised he even had a file in the game.

Rockfort island needed a better shooter.
Ahem: The Birkin's and the G-Virus.

Alright...looks like I'm going have to get Umbrella Chronicles now...and RE4 Wii Edition.
