Landlords Suk...
OK as some of you know my wife and I moved into are new place a little over a month ago and I’ve been dealing with out old apartment complex about the condition of the place on move in and our security deposit. The place was a mess the carpet was stained, cigarette burns, and giant holes everywhere, the walls weren’t painted and grease and dirt everywhere. We took video take and pictures to show what the place looked like to cover our butts and a good thing we did. We ended up painting it ourselves and clean the whole place up and took about a week.
Well I talked to the landlords saying the amount of work and the condition of the place when we moved in we shouldn’t be charged for anything, not only did they charge us about half our deposit but also put on charges for light bulbs, the battery for the smoke alarm and 1 drip pan for the stove and accused us of falsifying the video tape on the move in. Needless to say I’m pissed and I’m going after my money.
