in issue twelve, which i seem to have misplaced, we find out that despite tryp's telepathy, part of jamie still remembered what happened that day. part of him knew he wasn't a mutant, and part of him knew his parents were murdered. that part of him manifested itself as a dupe, who wound up blowing himself, "tryp sr." and "tryp jr." and a few stories of singularity investigations headquarters up. when the dupe died, his repressed memories came back to jamie, as he explains to doc samson here...
