Not really, it isn't self hating to admit you own flaws, if he is indeed ugly then he can say it and simply be being honest.

Depends I guess, if one accept that there are social bounds and conventional aesthetic criteria (not saying it is right, but it does happen) for beauty and one does not fit in according to that one feels one could justifiably declare oneself repulsive.
And there were those odd libertines who actually liked ugliness, as a way of rebelling against whatever they gloried in the things that were considered insults to good taste or nature of god or whatever. Who knows, if he is ugly he might be proud of it.

Kind of, but as people have pointed out...its also being honest.
Humans are just kind of ugly in general.
I didn't really mean to offend anyone, I just have personal preferences that should have probly been stated in positives as opposed to negatives.

I have always found spiders beautiful. But that just empathises there are different kinds of beauty, different versions and meanings of it.
