Also when scaling any images for you work the rule of thumb is go from large to small not small to large. This will help with the pixeling problem that you have with the Spidey background.
Nice ones...The Gnome one is pretty cool. If you are using photoshop maybe photoshop cs2 try www.chaosgfx.com for tutorials and pratice them...
