I could be wrong lol..its just an assumption of mine but it just seems as if later in movie 3 we are going to learn something in Singapore that links back to why he's doing that and when we look back at movie 2 it wont be so random. 😂
It seems as if this movie is packed full of little hints like that 😄..things that will only be significant once we see movie 3..me thinks

I dunno..I just think he's going to be a captain..thats what he seems more passionate about really..more than being a pirate..he's not really the best pirate ever..its like he tries to be but that darn caring nature keeps creeping back..

Just being branded, that cant really make a man turn from a life where he just took responsibility for 99 slaves to sets them free..into the kind of man we meet in movie 1/early movie 2..who is afraid to take responsibilty in life .As of late in movie 1 Jack Sparrow is a bit of a weakling in life by the time Liz gets to the truth on the beach..that was the whole theme of movie 2..he's scared of responsibilty..and just being branded pirate made him turn like that? I dunno..something has happened to him in his past me thinks..just after Bekett did that to him

remember Simba was once a brave king/prince but his dad died and he feels that its his fault..he's now a rogue who doesnt want any form of responsibility in life.

Hey LovelyOne thanks for the back story on CJS. That is not what I read, but sounds simular. I have not read anything on his family. All the EITC and his family involvement is all in my head where CJS has seriously been for three years and counting...I swear I am going to have some real heavy withdrawal after AWE. I have now seen DMC 15 times and 3 of those were yesterday.
wikipedia can be wrong though 🙂..they were wrong about his real name being smith lol...I think you may be right about the dad having some sort of importance in singapore in the past 🙂
and because he was born in India doesnt mean he lived or grew up there It seems as if singapore is his homeland..his dad may have been incharge of soemthing there for a long time 🙂

I have watched COTBP every day, either all or parts since July 12th and I had seen it 4 times before that. CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow has captured me.
I agree that the back story is going to pull it all together in AWE. But, since Disney has decided to release worldwide on the same day because of the plot twist, what can that be? J/E, Jack returned to England by EITC for trial, ??????. Anybody got any ideas.
And Jack in Singapore might stand in his way? I hope not. Yes, I think Singapore is where we will learn about his past.
Not to burst your bubble, Kate, but he doesn't have to have any Indian blood in him to be born in India. It was a colony of England, although his looks kind of suggest something other than straight Brit.
Being half Indian would be really cool. I want to meet his mom. Nobody has a mom! I bet Mother Sparrow is really pretty and cool.
