The Globals do a great job of moderating the OTF, so why even declare one special OTF Mod?

Didn't TH used to Mod the OTF? And wasn't it called the PAD? I only know this because there was a massive infulx of "Bring back the Pad" threads when I came to the OTF.

The OTF had a subforum for a short while called Tired Hiker's Pad.

It was only after that was closed that the OTF turned into what it is now...it used to be a lot less messy before.

But the OTF has never had a specific mod.

Times change...

I really highly doubt the OTF will ever have a mod assigned specifically to it...and if it ever DID happen chances are it would be someone who already is a mod.

But the OTF is meant to be global mod territory.

The globals watch all the forums with no specific mod, as well as their own forums they have.

The only time we'll have a new Moderator is when one leaves KMC and passes down his/her title to whomever they deem capable of doing the required duties.

Hell, I won't lie. I'd love to be a moderator, global or local. But I don't think that I'm worthy of such an honor, seeing as I've been a member for less than 2 years.

If i had to vote for a mod it would be for Shellie or Syren or Impediment

Length of membership is a contributing factor, yes, but what's more important is what you have to contribute to KMC and it's members. If you are a mature, informative, helpful, level headed, and reliable participant who is dedicated to the Forums, then that, in my opinion, is what makes a great moderator.
