Superman isn't Christian...Is He Going To Hell?

Believe it or not, Superman, savior of the world....countless times...isn't Christian. He's a Raotian actually. He worships his Kryptonian God.

So, since he's not Christian and he doesn't believe in Jesus, will Superman himself be condemned to Hell?

This is of course metaphorically speaking since Superman doesn't really exist.

Batman also isn't Christian (used to be; turned into an atheist after his parents got murdered). Neither is Wonder Woman (worships the Greek Gods). Would these heroes be condemned to hell as well?

Superman is also a fictional figure 🙂

And an alien. It gets to the "if there are aliens did God make them? debate.

However many people have written on how Superman is a metaphor for Jesus and all that kind of thing. Along with how Aslan is and all that. The Messiah/savior like figure.

Of course comics generally stere clear of religious debate, or have characters adhere to fictional ones. It wouldn't be any fun to have Dr. Doom preaching Christianity or Islam, would it?

Although now that I think about it there is Superpope. But he was a dick.

Guess what: I know a real Superhero, Who did heroic things.

The apostle Peter

The apostle Peter, the only person other than Jesus who we have a record of in the Bible that walked on water, the number one apostle of Jesus (Jesus had three chief apostles/disciples: Peter, James, and John), a man who witnessed, first-hand, the miracles of Jesus, a man who walked with Jesus for three and one half years during Jesus' earthly ministry, a man who was with Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, this man who cut off one the high priest's servant's ear when they tried to arrest Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, this man who saw Jesus miraculously multiply a five loaves of bread and two small fish to feed upwards of 5,000 men (not including women and children), this man who saw Jesus transfigured (Jesus' face shone like the sun and His clothes became white as the light i.e., resplendent with the glory of God) as He conversed with Moses and Elijah on a high mountain, this man who witnessed Jesus expel demons out of people, this man who heard Jesus teachings, and watched Jesus compassionately heal people of any and all types of illnesses, sicknesses, and diseases, this man saw Jesus open blind eyes, unstop the deaf, and loose the tongue of the mute, this man saw Jesus go into the temple (where they were carrying on commerce), overturn tables (with money on them mind you), and make a whip of cords that He used to drive out the animals and probably people, this man (audibly heard) the voice of God the Father from Heaven say,

"...This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”

That's why Jesus died for you, was beaten for you, spit on for you, tortured for you because He knows that without His righteous, holy blood, our sins could not be forgiven. His holy sinless life made Him the only candidate qualified to die for the sins of the world. You cannot take a sinner and punish a sinner in place of another sinner, because that sinner has his own sins to pay for. You need someone who is innocent and willing to pay for your sin so that you will be let off the hook. Jesus is that innocent Lamb of God who gave up His life so that we could live. Jesus paid our sins in full. But you have to reach out to Him and tell Him (Jesus) I want what You did for me otherwise it will not benefit you. Then when you die you will pay for your own sins to the full extent of God’s law, with no mercy. That’s why God sent Jesus. Can’t you see? He does not want anyone to have to pay for their own sins for eternity. Jesus already paid for the world’s sin. Don’t die in your sins (i.e. don’t die without accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior). Die forgiven. Those who die in Christ die forgiven. Then their disembodied spirits go to be with God the Father and God the Son (Jesus) in Heaven forever.

This man who followed Jesus after He was arrested, who was so terrified of losing his life that he denied Jesus three times, this man who saw His Lord crucified between two thieves, this man who saw His Lord die on the cross, this man who saw His Lord after He rose from the dead, this man who became bold as a lion after He saw Jesus raised from the dead, this man who became a powerful voice for Christianity after Jesus ascended back to Heaven, this man who began to perform mighty miracles (just like Jesus) by the Holy Spirit's power and the Name of Jesus, this man who along with the apostle John said to a man who was lame from his mother's womb, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” This man took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God. Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him...And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it...What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it...For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed."
This man Peter who Jesus (after His resurrection) said these words to:

"Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish.” 19 This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, “Follow Me.”

This man Peter who requested to be crucified upside down because he felt that he was not worthy to die in the same manner as His Lord Jesus,

this man...

this man Peter said this about Jesus Christ (a real, living, breathing Superhero Who will return for His own):

2 Peter 1
Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

Peter, Jesus' leading apostle/disciple who saw, experienced first-hand, and witnessed all of this refers to Jesus as our God and Savior.

Let me ask you something folks: were you there to see, experience first-hand, and witness all of these things that Jesus said and did? No? Me neither. But Peter was and did and he calls Jesus God, the REAL SUPERMAN!

When Jesus pushes the planet out of its orbit without killing humanity in order to save the planet from giant radioactive space weevils then I will consider him a superhero. And he has to wear his underpants on the outside of his robe.
