Image scanning.

I just purchased a scanner and it works fine. My problem is that it takes a lot longer to scan, download and post than I figured. I'll run down my steps from the actual scan to the post on-line.

1) I have to start the scan through the software provided.

2) I save my new scan to my desktop.

3) I download the scan into photobucket.

4) The scan is now ready to post.

Each scan takes approximately 2-3 minutes from start to finish. Are there any shortcuts in order to cut the time down?

There are no shortcuts that I know of anyway, it's the same for the scanner my mom has.
