True the only real thing the Will/Liz shippers have is that Will and Liz meet as children, she takes his medallion, they fight for each other in POTC 1, he admits he loves her, they get engaged, fate intervenes and the marriage is stopped...end of story...no theories, no underlying symbolisms, no clues, nada...

Liz fate is to be with someone who is just like her, someone who can free her and someone who only sees that side of her. Im sorry fold, but that "man" is not william turner. Having never been to KTTC, I think it's completely ridiculous that KTTC people woul have people kicked off for not agreeing with them. You don't hve to agree with everyone's opinions, but you should at least respect them... like we do here.

Chiki, I feel exactly the same way; they were not meant to be.

It's like -- how to explain it? -- your first love. It's like suddenly appearing in a deserted island, and finding only one man there. And in this case, that man is Will. How could you not start appreciating him if you have lived since your childhood with him around? But ohhh -- with another 'suddenly' you are both picked up from the deserted island and are thrown to the real world were there are more people than just Will and you.

And you meet people. You open your eyes. And you start to live.

That's what happens to Lizzie -- she opens her eyes and is astonished by this pirate world, by this Captain Jack Sparrow, by her true being.
-- and of course she appreciates Will. But it's the childish first love of someone that has not lived nor explored what she really is.

Ekk..I'm starting to feel doubtful again..cuz isf they are doing this Will/Liz thing..then what we saw in DMC must have meant something else...but HOW..even Ted and Terry have basically suggested its more that just sex between Jack and Elizabeth..

T&T said that the compass pointed to jack bc she wants him the most in this world. and its not for sex in a temporary thing, its bc its her hearts desire to be with him. the compass dont lie.
