Thing has been hit by a speeding punch from Gladiator also tossed 35 stories and then drop 35 stories and had a city bus smashed on top of him he was ko'ed but only for a few minutes. Thing has heart and determination which combined with his experience skill strength and durability would win against Cap

Yeah Cap with his fists can only annoy Thing and maybe put him off balance a bit. But that Shield is "deadly" when Cap wants it to be.

I still would give Thing the benefit of the doubt though.

Yeah he can Ko Thing but its going to be difficult. Thing is not MA but hes a smart fighter and his durability will cause Cap problems.

Thing is............Superman. Thing has superspeed/flight among other powers so that Cap is a motion less statue?

Thing is Superstrong and superdurable but slow and would be difficult to tag Cap.

Also Cap's mystery metal/viabrainium it has that razor sharp edge. As its hurt class 100 bricks not because of strength but of its mystery edge, thats been stated to be even great then regular adamantium.

This gives it a credible suspension of disbelief for it too hurt the Thing. Thing probably wins the majority. Depending on the circumstances in a regular environment I can see Cap taking the majority.

But no environment usage I see Thing taking it but not easily.
