they were afraid something was going to happen to her, alex and abi being pirates and Jackie being but a baby

ok knowing that it would break jackies heart, the only way to protect her is by giving her away in an orphanage. There she will be safe and well taken care of. Norrington has contacts with the staff of the orphanage.

after leaving a teary eyed jackie, her face wet already from crying, norrington explains to her that its the only way that she could be safe and that hes doing it bc her parents wants for her only the best.

and she has a certain high class air about her at the orphange and some of the kids resent her, one befriends her ultimately, then they all love her which makes the woman running the orphanage nervous
