First, there is a difference between a 'newbie' and a 'n00b.' A newbie is a new member. A n00b, put simply, is a moron. And the worst kind of moron. A moron who doesn't know they are a moron, and worse, thinks that everyone who points out their moronity is a moron themselves.

I think it comes down to this. If a person is new, they should come to the OTF, 'cuz it's vicious in here. When I first came here, I spent all my time in the Movie forums and the like. The culture shock is just too much.

thanks for clearing that up.I was wondering about that. 😄 Yeah I agree.For a newbie,to start off with,they should come to like the movie discussion section first before they come here,thats what I did initially because like you said,it can be vicious here in the off topic section from the vets many times and if your a newbie,some of the posts you come across can make a newbie run away.I had been in the movie discussion section for most the time I was here initially.I still do post there most the time.It wasnt till after I had been here a few months that I branched out into the off topic section and since I had been here for so long,I was prepared for it unlike a newbie might be.

yeah thats why I hate it when they act so arrogant like they are so superiour just because they joined sooner than them.Thay automatically think that just because they joined sooner than them and have been there so much longer that they are better then them.I hate that kind of arrogance.Yeah they would do well to remember that they were once a noob as well.
