i agree, but geeky is offten used in many ways, whether to describe someones who studies hard all the time and work and school dominate their life, or the DnD example proved above. But poety singing, music, art is generally seen as talent
hmm...yeah...basically "geek" is a degratory term for anyone with intensity and passion fueled towards some particular thing, be it art or music or video games or books and et al.
"Cool" people have this lacking in intensity. They are "cool" towards everything and anything. Its a quality i precisely hate about them. Nothing ignites their curiosity and they couldn't care less about anything. 😬 They take it to be a sign of superiority. I take it as them missing out on devoting themself to something that makes them happy.
So yeah. "geeks" devotion to whatever that ignites their curiosity and interest is very admirable. 🙂
