😆 True....whenever Liz refers to the wedding...she never ever mentions Will's name or that she misses Will or that she loves Will...all she ever says is "wedding night"...that's all she cares about...and I think she is hot for Jack, not Will.....let's see...we hear her say

here's a really, really stretched comparison.

the writers called Will the feast and Jack the interesting waffle.

We see Liz eating a feast in 1, along with Barbossa in his cabin. she is trying to be dainty and polite, but he urges her to release her pirate nature and she starts eating voraciously. however, a moment later she drops the food with the dismayed line "its poisoned?" even though the food was not poisoned, it turned out to not be what she wanted, even though she was hungry, and she didnt eat any more of it.

my bets are that if Barbossa had whipped up a waffle instead, she would have eaten the whole thing, even if it was poisoned. 😉

Don't forget how defensive she got when Jack asked her if finding Will was what she really wanted.

Who is she trying to convince? If she was really, truly in love with Will, she wouldn't think people would question her motives. If she were really in love with Will, she would feel no need to stress to Jack that finding the chest means saving Will. That's something he should just know already. But she has to convince herself, so she has to convince others as well.

Lizzie had a huge urge to taste the waffle..but ted also says thats not the only reason why she likes the waffle..the compass points to the waffle not because she is hungry or wants to be belgian.. It points there because what she wants most in the world is that waffle.

Lizzies lust and Lizzies feelings for Jack are two differnt things on screen..the lust she's enjoying but the feelings for him she's afraid of..THATS whats gonna continue into 3. I can bet you she wont be sexually forward in 3.

I know its been a couple of days sine you talked about the fire spelling Tortuga.... But, Liz spelled it herself did she not? Her plan was to have to ship sail to Tortuga to find Will who was looking for Jack. So she wanted to go to find one or the other... I had a point... but damnit I forgot...

she finds not Will but Jack and says "I'm here to find the man I love" I was like WTF? random line there why didnt she just jump straight to the chase and say "Jack where's Will?"

she sort of played on the lines a bit then becamse serious.

Were you going to say that she left with every intention of finding Will, just expecting to see Jack? I think she was a little surprised when Jack told her he wasn't with him anymore. I don't think her saying "I'm here to find the man I love" is a good hint she and Will aren't meant to be, because I think she's trying to guilt Jack here. "You took my love and are a huge jerk if you don't give him back." Notice how she's not very playful at first. He makes that suggestion about being naked in his cabin and she just ignores it and moves on to her point. "Jack, I know Will came to see you. Where is he?"

I actually think the first "in search" she goes into is more about fate leading her TO jack..than her intentionally wanting to find him although I dont know..i think deep down in her heart she's really wanting to find Jack

cuz various things before she finds him suggest she is very much wanting to find and be with Jack in her heart.

Jack is like "to tortuga!"

then after that certain "widowed before marriage" line..Liz then spells out the name Tortuga in the fire..DESTINY!

Yes, yes, I know what you're saying, and she's expecting to see Jack again, too. But this is the perfect situation for her to convince herself she's going for Will. Everything that happens until the kiss, she and Jack can convince themselves the things that are happening are happening because of situational factors and not true feelings. If she knew Will wasn't with Jack and went to see Jack anyway to get help, she would be all excited like how we see her, but she would convince herself she was seeing him to save Will.
But that is why the kiss is unique in the fact that there is nothing to blame it on. She can convince herself she was saving everyone, but it's the leaning in for another kiss I'm talking about. She can't convince herself of anything other than she wanted his lips on her again.

well Liz is still was still kinda using will as a reason for her not to be with Jack even at th end.

Yeah, but she knows she can't explain away leaning in for another kiss. At the end, she doesn't look that concerned about fixing her relationship with Will. She just looks a little afraid because she thinks he knows what she did and will "take it the wrong way."

You know you cant handle yourself around him. What makes you think you're going to be able to get him to come back here and give up his compass? It's nuts. You'd need me for that kind of job obviously. I know you're going to end up in danger and in need of me to rescue you... so when i say i'll wait for you, what i mean is, i'll wait for like 12 seconds until i get bored, then devise my own way out of here, save you from whatever predicament you've ended up in, and trick Jack into coming back to Port Royal and giving up his compass, while also cleverly plotting a way for him to escape and be free again. something to that effect, lol. Liz would never have even gone to Tortuga if she really had faith in Will. She obviously had more faith in Jack's ability to manipulate everyone. lol.
She does have faith in her own ability to handle Jack though. So when she shows up in Tortuga, I am of the opinion that she knows she will find Jack, she isn't sure whether she will find Will, but it doesnt matter because her point IS to find Jack. She needs to save Will, but she also wants another shot of adventure, IMO. So teaming up with Jack to do something she probably would normally do alone will provide that added edge of adventure.

oh god watching that persuade me scene..its so obvious what happens to Jack after she storms off..the way the music "rises" and he does that grunt as if to hold back.

Was it the deleted scene on the island with Liz/Jack when they are just sitting there drinking rum and he's asking her to sing the song....and she is doing something with the top of the bottle....she sooo had SEX on the brain!!!! lol...if it's that then ya i did notice that...i was laughing really hard...lol!!
