If YT took down ALL the vids that used movies,shows.etc. Then they'd be closed down. I mean that's almost their WHOLE site.

YouTube has no say in whether or not your friend gets to keep their illegal material posted.

When a company comes to them and says there's been copyright infringement, they have to take action. Otherwise, they'd be shut down.
