All the underlying clues in DMC point to J/E, but I think it's all a red-herring to make us believe that, so that when everything comes together in the third movie, we'll be surprised.
And I don't think anyone will leave truly, truly disappointed.
symbolism is never added into movie to confuse. What you see is what you see. Its added in because dialogue and actions cant really raise the thematic argument on its own like a book can or a play where you can use monologues..so symbolisms are needed to back up the themes and thematic arguments.
If this was all a red herring then it would probably be the first movie in the history of the world to use symbolism to trick/confuse people into believing something then saying.."no that was all a lie"...They take risks but they aren't THAT risky..
the underline clues in DMC also point to Will becoming fish face and I know that happens in movie 3 to Will as a fact cuz of the salmon revision script I read..so I'm guessing the J/E stuff in DMC is not a trick..cuz the will/Davy underline clues sure as heck weren't red herrings 😄

Nor like all of you W/E shippers we are very aware of all the possibilities that can happen in AWE. We are open minded people. We are not saying that J/L are going to end up together, get married and have a happily ever after sweetheart, chocolaty, waffles, strawberries and whip cream ending. God that made me hungry. Back on topic, I am not expecting that. But all the chemistry and all the hints in the 2nd movie are undeniable. They showed feelings for each other, and you guys just can't accept it.
And I feel that the majority of the J/L shippers in this forum believe the same. I mean who wouldn't love that J/L end up together, get married and have a little jacky running around. But the movie is 7 moths from now, so anything can happen.
Like I said a trillion times. If we see patterns of WIll/Liz we will root for them all the way till Judgement Day. But we dont see nothing nada-and its not because we are blinded by Jack/liz. Ppl think that we see what we want to see, we see because the good Lord gave us eyes to see and a brain to think. WE are not fanatics nor obsessed. We are simply intelligent people with the purpose to see, annalize, have our theoris and have facts to back them up. True theories arent facts, thats why they are called theories 😂 But they are not theories that we dont just make up, there are theories that according to what we see-according to what T&T put into the movie.
Again we are not crazy fanatics over-annalizing. Sometimes the simplest things can be tricky, we always have to aware of these stuff. I cant think of any reasons why Will/Liz should be together. In the first movie all I could think was "..uhh..its Disney" BS. No excuse-its not enough for support.

First of all, I'm not a W/E shipper.
Second of all, I can see J/E chemistry. I just don't think it's anything more than an attraction that will fizzle out because it's not love. *shrug*
There's plenty to see of W/E, but I'm almost tired of trying to talk about it because you'll ignore the signs, or more than likely, somehow change the meaning of the scene by finding some deep, deep teeny tiny detail to make it a J/E moment, even if it means glossing over the rest of the scene, past history, or comments from the writers.
A lot of J/E arguments are interesting and fun to read, but they aren't founded with anything more than what seems like futile hopes and wishes. The surface of DMC screams J/E, when the deeper bits of the movie are really more W/E. Just look, you'll see.
At any rate, one of my favorite little details in DMC is when Will picks up Elizabeth's dress on the ship and breathes in her scent, and that little smile of his crosses his lips. I think that is adorable, and it shows how much he cares for and misses Elizabeth.
i put that vid up to show how you can still like will, but also support jack/liz...idk know if you were replying to me or other people who have posted(i think it was others), because i get tired of reading the same arguements over and over (no offense guys)
anyways, i can see your ideas very clearly, some i agree with and some i dont...at the moment my heart says jack/liz but my mind is confused...i'm ready to be proven wrong or right-i just can't wait until the movie comes out and this mess is over with!

Thank you Surreal I must say that we are interesting and intelligent people. We speak what we see. All those hints, clues and symbolisms are under our noses, we don't over analyze anything. And most of us don't have the privilege of being a film studies student. You said it the surface of DMC screams at J/E. It says it all the way, be a little bit more open minded you'll see what were talking about.
