Id say both die cos Hulk might jump towards Xavier and by the time Hulk's mind is disabled Xavier will be lying below Hulk.

I couldn't have put it any better myself.

Um, Hulk might take a little while to deconstruct telepathically. He's got all kinds of repressed anger and personalities, not to mention Xavier might be flustered from starting so close. Hulk ftw.

I have to go with Hulk.

What if Hulk thunderclaps in the the first second? Or better yet, groundpounds?

Xavier could stop his motor functions before Hulk's hands reach each other or before his fist reaches the ground.

I'm still going with the first scenario.

Telepathy is hardly ever a factor with Hulk. Not to mention I doubt Xavier is doing any thing in the time for Hulk to lunge 5 meters at him.

I know it's nearly impossible to control Hulk telepathically, but what about just shutting off his entire nervous system?

Hard to say, but I still have my doubts he can do so in the amoun tof time it takes for Hulk to stomp the ground, clap his hands together, lunge at him, or simply blow at him really hard.

The occasions I've seen, it's really hard to affect Hulk telepathically.

hulk has high resistance to telepaths but then again xavier isnt any other telepath i think he could stop the hulk by the time hulk's come up with an attack xavier would already be in his head calling the shots but the distance does make it kinda ify
