Michele Soavi's 'StageFright'

"He'll go alright- but only after he's killed every last one of us!"

After hearing some good reviews on this flick, i decided to hunt it down. I expected to like it, but i didnt think it would be as good as it turned out to be. I was pleasently surprised.

I have seen 'The Church' also directed by Soavi, and i enjoyed that. And not forgetting he directed the highly rated Zombie flick 'Dellamorte Dellamore AKA 'Cemetary man'. (Which i have not seen yet)

The plot is this:

A group of young actors who star in this play about a murderer and a rape end up working late hours because the greedy director wants to get the play started the next day. Eventually some mental patient escapes from a local asylum and hitches a ride with one of the actors to the building where the play is being held. The rest is history.

I highly reccomend this to any horror fan. Its worth checking.

The vipco dvd release is only £1.50 on Amazon UK
