It'd be a good fight but i think Superman would probably pull something out of his ass to beat him i would put my money on Supe's having the higher damage soak and invulernbility and then after a pimp slap he would take Vulcan down to Ma kent's for some milk and cookies and the classic sunset monologue.

Even though i would like to see Supe's lose a few more now and again, Also has anyone else got the feeling that Vulcan is just going to be one of thoese characters that start's out a badass with crazy feat's and end's up either dead, retconned or slotted to guest appearances...Nate Grey all over again...

Maybe I am confused here, but in Uncanny X-men 480, Gladiator beats Vulcan to the point where Vulcan loses an eye. Actually, it was a single punch too.

Vulcan is almost a wannabe Captain Atom.

Vulcan has the powers to take Supes down just like CA but he jobbers too much and the character is not really written good.

Vulcan should take a fare share of victories. Notice the emphasis on “should”. His idiotic personality, and his inability to make good use of his powers makes him less then Magento level. Superman tears hole inside out.

haha, so much fun reading the thread, I almost need to point out how easy would Glads sh_t on Vulcan's head pretty much in any scenario just to bash the past hype.
