Hellraiser remake

wtf??? why?? what you all hink?

No! No! No!

At least Clive Barker is writing the screenplay so it probably will stay somewhat true to the original. Then again, Barker's main interest in this project is the bigger budget available, which will mostly be used on better effects and gore, and I don't think the story really needs to rely on those aspects.
In the best case scenario this remake will be a tuned up and more graphic version of the original movie, but a bit redundant anyway. It doesn't needs to be remade and no remake will gain the status of the first movie.
They also just might give pinhead a bigger part in this because of his popularity and that could ruin the whole movie.

You cant be series? The movie isn't twenty years old yet. What could they possibly do to make it better considering the gore in the original was pretty realistic.

will this never end?

i remember watching Hellraiser one rainy afternoon at a cinema in the city centre that only showed soft porn and horror flicks
i think it was 87 and what a year that was for great horror films
there was 3 people watching it....me,a dodgy looking guy and a down n out type who looked a bit like the tramp in the film
that made the film all the more unsettling for me
so to have a big budget version in a multiplex in a cinema full of your average cinema goer will not be the same Hellraiser for me

Its a remake too far

Twenty years or two years, is doesn't matter how old a film is now for it to get remade...

Sacrilege...lol I bet Uwe Boll will direct it too.

Clive Barker + Big Budget + Cenobites on screen for longer + Frazer Lee to Direct,
would = A Hellraiser remake that might be cool.

keep the cenobites to minimum screentime like the orig
the orig has a seedy quality that will be lost

i dont blame clive. he said that it would be done eventually, so he might aswell be a part of it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The original was fine, why the hell make a remake?!?

Yeah, that's a smart move on Barker's part.

Remake = replacement of characters = Doug Bradley won't be Pinhead. That's my biggest beef with this, among others.

Im really mad about how many remakes there making its really annoying like i wish that directors could just make ther own scripts instead of remaking movies! i think that new directors should get noticed becuase seriously remakes are not needed to be done the originals are perfect! they always ruin the originals! eicpecially becuase there wont be as much gore!

hellraiser remake i think will be stupid becuase its clive barker again and also it was good for the original soo they dont have to do anything more to it!

if films are gonna be remade then the original writer should at least be a part of it, cause then you know the new twists etc are part of his idea and not some other knob just remaking the film how he thinks it should be done,

F*ck horror films these days i hate them and i hate ppl who remake and copy originals i hope they ****ing die b4 it can be remade.

They should leave part I alone and remake the crappy sequels

There's no fighting the inevitable. The studio wants to remake their movie, so Barker, while he may or may not want this to happen, is at least participating so he can have some creative influence to make sure his story doesnt get bastardized.

it would be cool if he directed it aswell. its a shame the original didnt have a bigger budget, because some of the effects were poor

This is both good and bad.Atleast Barker is involved but its gonna destroy the feel of it totally.Low budget gives it the little extra.

*sigh*

At least Barker's with this project.
