I play the baritone. The best part of marching band is when my teacher gets mad. It's so funny. I also enjoy throwing rocks at people during rehearsal.

I was in band in high school.

No kidding...I have been in band 2 years and I have been hit by flags at least 3 times twice in the first year and once this year.

I think that the more years you have been in marching band, the better you are at dodging flags.

I sure hope so....

although there were some seniors that just didn't seem to get the flag-is-coming-get-out-of-the-way-quick theory.

Hit as in they were wielding them as weapons, or hit while performing?

If it's the second, you're WAY too close.

I only ever hit someone with a flag on accident once, and that's when we were just learning a new routine and were working out how far apart we needed to be.

I was as close as I was told to be. I was told to go between the flag girls. who were four steps apart. One infront of the other...it hurt sooo bad.
