But it works out to about $6 to see them play, if I want to. They're at Big Day Out with a bunch of other bands, so I cant not pay...probably wouldn't pay to see them play by themselves if they were touring, but since they're coming, may as well see them play.

Dude, compared to all that other mainstream crap that's out there, The Killers are awesome. They are local for me as well, I live not too far from Sam's Town, the place their new album is named after. Plus, they are tight with one of the local radio stations around here, so this station is the only station in the world that can play all their songs on their new album, hence . . . I don't have to buy it. I respect those guys.

Not to mention it's one of the easiest places to pick up chicks.

I only like the first four there.

I'm not saying Green Day are my favourite band here, don't get me wrong, but I like them. They're alright, I don't hail them as punk rock or anything, but I know enough history to be aware that they're just an American rock band with an image and an influence.

Obviously if you like The Killers, up to you. I just think they're one of the worst bands to grace the planet, ever. Not to mention Brandon Flowers is a talentless man who feels he can go around offering musical advice to people better than him.

Yes, I agree that Flowers is a bit of a pompus ass, but I can't help but like their music. I also must say that I never said I didn't like Green Day, infact I saw them at Lalapalooza 3 I believe it was. They played a montage of eighties hits meshed into one long song, including Eye Of The Tiger by Survivor, and it was absolutely amazing. About the whole U2 thing . . .. hey, a band's gotta do what a band's gotta do, and they LOVE U2 like heroes to them, so I commend them for being able to hookup and play with their idols.

As far as the Killers sounding Euro . . . hey, I'm a huge Pulp fan, and since they split up, the Euro tech/rock scene has vanished. The Killers have picked it up and are rolling with it, so be it.

It hasn't vanished, and Pulp were considered "Britpop", by many. I just considered them a rock band. The fact is, Pulp were actually English. Not from Las Vegas.

Hot Hot Heat pioneered the genre that The Killers now try to use, people forget that.

I know Pulp isn't from Las Vegas . . . 😆 I just meant that they were the last Brit band to have that Euro sound I so enjoy, and they are hardly known here in the US, so I consider myself lucky that I even discovered them. I don't know the details about what is brit rock or pop, all I know is that to me they continued the electric sound that Depeche Mode and bands like that created . . . I'd like to hear this Hot Hot Heat now that you mention it.

If you can, get hold of Make Up the Breakdown (LEGALLY!), it's Hot Hot Heat's breakthrough album, though all of them are good.

It's really, really good. It proves that music doesn't have to be shit to be simple or fun.

Clubbing isnt my thing... I go once in a blue moon though... went this past Saturday night to help a friend celebrate her birthday.... I dont get into it though... makes me feel so out of place 😕
