Shulkie was amped, but only because Jennifer had been training like crazy. Besides, Champ is non-PIS jobber. It's in his nature to play by the rules. Well, in a boxing ring anyway.
(Although the writing was pretty poor)
Edit: Thing surviving three rounds would happen, because Champ admires his spirit. Ofcourse, Thing has no say in this. If Champ wants him dead, he dies. Hard.

Thing will last a hell of a lot longer than 3 punches from Juggernaut, Thing can hold his own for at least a good hour before he starts faltering.
However, Hulk will win. In the beginning he will just trade punches with Jugg, but after a while he'll get enraged and either just punch Jugg into another planet or get so pissed he punches through Cytorrak's protection.
