And to make it even more fun, it's ridiculously cold here. It's snowed twice already, the first snow having been the earliest on record for Chicago.

These questions pertain, mostly, to the U.K. bunch.

[*]Why do some people from Europe call Americans "yanks"? Does it stem back to the Revolutionary War? Or is it just some kind of slur?
The same reason you call us limeys, it's a pirate thing.

[*]What would the American equivelant of "wanker" be? Is that calling someone an @$$hole?
Something like that, but wank means masturbate, and a wanker is someone who does it like 5 times per day and wanks more than anything else.

[*]What does "bollocks" mean, exactly? Is it an adjective? Noun? Verb?
Bollocks are you testicles. doped And when someone talks it, it's like talking bullshit, but by saying bollocks they are also boring you, and what they are saying is comepletely irrelivant and what only saddos talk about.

[*]What is Spotted Dick? And why, for the love of Mike, is it named that? 😛
I don't know, your mum? srug

[*]So, if cops in England dont carry firearms, what do they do if the shit really hits the fan? What if someone else had a gun?

Not very many people have guns in England. It's not very common, and if someone does, they're usually afraid to pull the trigger. We aren't that good at killing people unless we're in a different country.

Do you have a question for your European friend? Beit from the England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Belgium, wherever....Ask away! (I searched for a similar thread, but wasn't yielded any results. Sorry if it's been done before.)
I have a question for you Americans, do you really think American Football and Baseball are fun, or are you guys just too drunk to care when you watch?

Care to explain?

Boiled egg, without the shell of course, wrapped in sausage with breadcrumbs around it. Lovely.

I'm not a sports guy. I actually hate sports. If you can call it a sport, I love to Drunken Putt-Putt Golf.

Most of ours are fallen already, though there's still some trees that are completely green.

Yeah, it snowed on...the 12th I think it was? Blah. I don't care for snow.

This morning my sister asked me to drive her to school, as she overslept and didn't have time to walk, and the grass was covered in frost and the car windows all frosted as well.

Ick.

I don't like eggs, and simply the smell of a boiled egg will make my stomach turn.

No, it's disgusting. 😘

Does the U.K. get a lot of snowfall?

That's really odd at this time of year.

You don't care for snow or heat? You're not one of those Spring/Autumn fans are you?

I don't like eggs usually either, but Scotch eggs are brilliant.

Depends... We sometimes do, sometimes don't.

What kind of sausage? I love eggs, myself.

What? No way! And yes, snow is aweful.

What kind of predictions do you have for when Prince Charles takes seat on the throne as King? Will he do a good job?

I prefer spring and autumn, but they're simply too short here - we're lucky to get a month of each where I live. Summer's not bad so long as it doesn't get ridiculously hot and stays there. Last winter it didn't get too cold or snow, except one weekend.

😂 my mom told me about how she was in London when she was 16 and it snowed about 2 inches and the whole city more or less shut down. Which I really can't wrap my mind around because we need about 18 inches of snow here before you start really running into trouble.
