Those victims waving their hands on 9/11...I would have carried something large all the way up for them to get on it. Tell the rest to stay away from the towers. Then search inside at super speed putting out the flames.

........or you could just stop the planes before they hit. However that would be a mighty difficult task.( unless you just go inside both planes and remove the highjackers).

Superman cannot predict the future. I would have realize it at the moment of news just like everyone did. After that my concern would be on the towers because I'm just 1.
