I stopped reading after this intolerable bs quote.

The 90s was the worst decade for music FANS, since most of them were like you and let the radio feed them bs instead of realising that some of the world's best ever bands were in their prime.

Well personally for me it was..........i dont listen to commercial radio
id rather chop off my knob than be force fed that sh1t.
Well i can have my opinion....as much as we had Nirvana,Sonic Youth, and at a stretch Supergrass amongst a minority there was a lot of crap n all.
You only have to watch those late night tv compilation shows just to see how crap it was....Elastica,Kula Shaker,NU METAL,Mansun,Teenage Fanclub,Oasis, the majority of the grunge scene......man im yawning typing their names at the memory of em.
I listened to alternative stuff through the 90s and the majority of stuff has dated far quickly than that of the 60s,70s n 80s.
im sure there are lots of decent bands that broke in the 90s but at this moment i cant(be arsed) think of any
though i can guess u can

I actually remember quite a lot of that. I remember sneaking outta my bed early in the morning to watch my saturday morning cartoons. cry

You know the profound meaning of "Wax on, wax off"

Money issues were handled by whoever was banker in 'Monopoly.'

It wasn't odd to have two or three 'best' friends.

Being old referred to anyone over 20.

😂 Anyhow, I remember so much of that stuff. It's scary that the 90's came and went in such a flash. Look at the new decade. Remember the hysteria of Y2K? 🙄 That was almost 7 years ago.

NES is 20 times better than SNES

Yes we were quite priveleged kids.

Note: To those like SWvintage pissing and moaning about the quality of stuff in the first post, you should remember that it's for people growing up in the 90's, not those who were over 20 in that decade.

A few more:

Back to the Future cartoon

Ghostbusters cartoon (and movies)

James Bond Jr. cartoon.

G.I. Joe cartoon (may have started in the 80's but was still going on)

When Green Ranger became the White Ranger

Chuck E. Cheese birthday parties

The circle you could hook up to the Sega Genesis and dance/fight in

Sonic the Hedgehog

Super Mario Kart

Donkey Kong Country

Guts and Double Dare

Gameboy with Tetris

Pogs were already mentioned, but remeber how cool it was to get a brand new metal slammer, especially if it had 8 ball or Poison on it?

Ninja Turtles the movie, and Ninja Turtles II

Playing Butts Up at lunch time

Supersoakers

Laser tag (Q-zar)

Watching all the old Starwars movies on Beta and VHS

I was 15 in 1998 when the teaser poster and trailer were released for Starwars Episode I, and I almost shit my pants at seeing the simple image of a desert, a young boy, and his shadow of Darth Vader... the simple text in the corner: Episode I.

Hey i aint stopped growing
Some of that list means stuff to people of my age too.
(notice i said SOME..........if i said a LOT i guess that would have meant i was the kind of person who is kept away from sharp instruments, wears a bib at meal times and whacks off to The Babysitter Club)
maybe not the stuff about the Pink Power Ranger and keenan and Kell but the Nirvana stuff and the different games systems mean as much to everyone as they do the kids of the 90s.

Mind u if i WAS a kid of the 90s i sure as hell would have stayed away from 75% of that list!

Ah yes the exitement of the first SW TPM teaser trailer......never has something promised so much and given so little.
