You mean that whole "Cure them of the mutation" tactic?
He's never actually "cured" a mutation before...he has reversed Nerons dark sorcery and he's devolved a mutated Shark using his telepathy...so removing the X-gene is kind of out of the question..

I know....I just love baiting the X-fans with the whole 'Turn 'em back to normal then span their necks' shtick.
Aquaman still takes it though , his TP goes through the brains back door where Apoc's guards are non-existent.
