pre crisis is the one I prefer. It was the only true Superman. Back then Superman was a god and no body could touch him. Now he's still the most powerful but he down powered alot. The Pre Crisis Supe's is how every one visions Superman, unbeatable and the greatest in every way. Hopefully they restore Superman to how he was.

Superman is supposed to be unbeatable and the best, thats what he is knowned for, being the greatest of all heroes. I like to see Superman portrayed in the correct ways. The current portrayal of Superman are not accurate, and it makes people believe that other heroes are on par with him and could possibly defeat him, which I find rather diggusting, since in reality no one even comes close to Superman.
Superman’s persona has been that of a boy scout since 1940, when then DC Editor Whitney Ellsworth instituted a code of conduct for all of the D.C. Universe. Prior to that, Superman was certainly never as cold blooded as say Batman, but he would rough up a criminal if it served his means.
Since then the Kent’s have instilled in Clark a clear feeling of purpose, morality and compassion. They taught him that his abilities are gifts that are not to be abused but used to provide hope and assist all humanity. He personifies all the best qualities that people would like to see in themselves.
Take these qualities away and Superman stops being Superman. He becomes just another demigod, no different than Magog or Darkseid. Yes, it is Superman’s ideologies that make him the most perfect superhero, a fantastic, unstoppable, unbeatable character with no equal.
I'm for the Silver Aged version!
