what chaps my ass, is that when people refer to the time when Maul attacked Sidious, they make it seem like Sid's death was immanent. Yes maul went at him, and it said he could "barely" block, but still said that he was laughing at him, which to me would not indicate a sense of worrying about being hurt. Isn't that when it said he traced mauls body to where he couldn't move (like someone stated above.)? That would have to be pretty fast, I'd say....maybe faster than the eye can see...perhaps... 🤨

Lightsnake, DS is right. There is nothing to suggest that Palpatine lifted his lightsaber after he finished Maul's training.
