There's been some decent ones, i.e. Slither, Feast,Saw 2. The rest are just..meh. I think HORRORFEST is going to produce some gems, IMO.
Watch a real horror movie like Visions of Suffering by Andrey Iskanov.
Also, Severance & Wilderness were great UK horror movies.
Also, Evil Bong was Genius.

The Descent was a masterpiece, one of the best horror films I've seen.There's been some others, Hills Have Eyes, Hostel, High Tension, Slither; all have been very solid.
Everyone a winner in my house........apart from High Tension
What is it??..i know i could google but this forum excells at
helping out with the red stuff.
I liked High Tension, SAW I - III, Hostel, The Descent and I loved Slither.
I've only liked 3 remakes so far and those are Dawn of the Dead, The Hills Have Eyes and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. But I would choose the Original TCM and DotD over the new ones anyday.
I will most likely see these remakes anyways but be ready for many more remakes. I'm sure a lot of you know this but while browsing on IMDB I've seen;
The Last House on the Left (2008) - Here
Don't Look Now (2007) - Here
Black Christmas(2006 - First I've ever heard of the remake) - Here
and there are still a lot more in the works.

bullshit. Feast and Slither both owned. Name another movie of the camp-horror genre since Re-Animator 2 that's better. you can't, doesn't exist.
