He's an actor..the kiss isn't real they both know its only professional.

but in the commentary they say that the original opening scene was Jack in a coffin..THEN we get that shot where it looks like Liz is mourning at a funeral towards "her husband lost at sea" 😂 then it ties in with the end again..
but they changed it around because of pacing or something...or maybe it was a bit too obvious?? 😉
There's something interesting on the special features when it comes to the Davy Jones thing..there seems to be some deleted lines..here's one, its during the dice game:
Davy J:

then Later on there's another line I think its attached to that scene
"it can only ever be a woman"
There also appears to be a cut part from on the deck of the FD where he's talking to bootstrap
"You're son was fortunate enough to find a ship and yet not so fortunate to find land!"
(overshadowing IMO)
Bill Nighy describes Davy Jones:
"Davy Jones is wounded so deeply. He's famous in mythology to have torn out his own heart in an effort to never feel that way again" (obviously giving his heart to a woman who didnt return his love..Calypso)
Jack has the heart close to his..pulls it out and hides it..then loses it..Jack's reaction..overshadowing?
Liz left him on the pearl(although I dont believe she has no feelings for him)..I sense thats gonna deeply hurt him in the long run.
notice how cold Jack behaves when we first meet him in the draft script?..Will even calls him heartless..as if Jack is trying to shut the honest and most compassionate side of himself out forever??
Will may be the one to become the next captain but I bet you Jack is the one who's going to start to truly mirror Davy Jones and what he did to himself in terms of trying to remove his emotions to other people....is Liz really as cold as calypso, what will she do once she realizes what she may be doing to Jack??
..if she cares for Jack in any way she will help him
will people really want their favorite character to go through this and not end out on top?
I'm also not so sure the thing closest to Will's heart IS a woman..because Davy realizes he's lying once his father comes in to play..
