This dosen't seem like it had a lasting effect, because after a depowered Mxy was killed by Ruin, he said his name backwards and returned to the 5th dimension....

and Mxy has been seen since then and appears to be fully repowered.

he wasn't even really killed either in the end of that issue when he flys infront SM and gets "hit" by the pole he automatically starts to fade away.
